Skunk Removal We work to get a wildlife technician to your Valley home the same day you call, or the next. Valley is about forty-five minutes from our Columbus office. Chambers County is on our regular routes along with LaGrange and West Point. Bat jobs take more than one visit, so we schedule those with you.
Under Valley homes, we trap opossums, armadillos and raccoons humanely. Bats in older Fairfax and Riverview attics get one-way exits, so they leave and can't return. After the final animal leaves, we seal the crawl space vents, skirting gaps and roof openings.
Valley wildlife calls go to technicians licensed in Alabama. A look at a Shawmut house, a Langdale rental or a newer place off Fairfax Bypass costs nothing, and the estimate is free too. No trap goes out until you know the price.
Jarrod's was a wildlife removal company from day one in 2009. Since then our technicians have crawled under many pier houses like the ones West Point Manufacturing built here. They know where opossums and raccoons slip past old skirting.
Carolyn E.May 2023 They are great. They found a fox in my backyard and were very gentle with the animal

Christina D.Oct 2024 I highly recommend Jarrod’s Pest Control for pest control, wildlife and termite treatment. They are always so friendly & helpful!
StephanieSep 2024 I called Jarrod's on Friday, and Ashley had Daniel come to my home the same day. He was there to remove a critter that had crawled into my ductwork and died. After the removal, Daniel explained to me that he had sprayed and patched up the ductwork. However, he told me he was not a heat/air guy and advised me to call my heat/air contractor to fix it properly. I did just that, and they told me my pest control guy did a fantastic job! There was nothing for them to do, the job had already been done. Thank you very much to the entire Jarrod's Pest Control team!!!
Jennifer B.Sep 2024 Jarrods saved the day today!!!! We had a little unwelcome bat move into a vacant house and needed it removed asap because another pest control company left us high and dry . They were extremely responsive and had compassion for our situation and met us at the property immediately to remove the bat . It only took him a minute to locate and remove the bat . Very impressive & extremely professional and fast service I would 10/10 recommend!!!! Joshua & Krystal were amazing !!!! Thank you thank you thank you
Aracelis W.Jan 2024 Mr Squirrel decided he liked us enough to take up residence in our guest room and decided to brave the dining room to get a bite . I cornered him there but couldn’t coax him onto a box . Called Jarrod’s and Christian came and took him to a nice place in the woods ! Thank you , Christian for quick , professional service ! Thank you !
Keith W.Oct 2023 Great company to deal with! They handle our wildlife and termite bond. Also, the pest control treatment. When the guy comes to spray, he even sweeps the facia and soffits of our house for spider webs. Would highly recommend them!
Every wildlife job starts with a free inspection and a price before any work begins. We also handle skunks, beavers and other nuisance animals.
Langdale and Shawmut homes stand on piers, and worn skirting leaves the space below wide open. Opossums den there through the winter. We trap them humanely, confirm the crawl space is empty, then close the skirting gaps.
Raccoons work the riverbank below the Langdale Mill dam and wander into nearby yards at night. They tear into trash and climb into attics through loose vents. Once we trap them, we close the vent or roof gap they used.
Armadillos dig for grubs in Fairfax yards and often burrow right beside the foundation. A burrow under a slab or pier can loosen the soil. We trap them along their routes and show you which holes to fill.
Older homes in Riverview have gable vents and soffits that have loosened over the decades. Bats slip through gaps that small. Outside the pup season, we add one-way exits, wait for the bats to go and then seal the roofline.
Copperheads and rat snakes hunt along the Chattahoochee Valley Railroad Trail between Shawmut and Riverview. Some follow mice into sheds and crawl spaces nearby. With the snake removed, we close the gaps under sheds, doors and vents.
Fresh sod on newly built lots along Fairfax Bypass stays loose and rich in grubs and earthworms. Moles tunnel through it and push up ridges overnight. We find the active runs, set traps in them and return until the tunneling stops.
Tell us what you notice: thumping under the floor, a smell from the crawl space or fresh holes by the foundation. That tells us what to bring. We aim to reach Valley the day you call or the day after.
Your technician crawls under the house, checks skirting and vents, then studies the roofline. In mill houses, that often means a missing vent cover or broken skirting panel. The visit costs nothing, and we quote before we work.
We place humane traps at the opening the animal uses and keep watch until the space is clear. Then we close the skirting, vents and pier gaps with sturdy wire mesh, so nothing new moves in under your Valley home.

Valley's wildlife technicians spend much of their day under the old mill houses of Riverview, Fairfax, Shawmut and Langdale. They know the piers, wood skirting and gable vents these homes share. Each is licensed in Alabama.

We serve Valley and southern Chambers County on the same routes as LaGrange, about forty-five minutes from Columbus. That covers Langdale, Shawmut, Fairfax, River View and nearby Lanett.
Under the pier houses of Langdale and Shawmut, opossums and raccoons are the usual animals in the crawl space. Yards by the river and Moore's Creek also see snakes along the banks. On the newer lots off Fairfax Bypass, armadillos and moles dig through fresh sod.
Many homes in the old mill villages have open crawl spaces and wood skirting that has worn away. Opossums and raccoons den under the floors, and armadillos burrow along the foundation. The Chattahoochee River nearby keeps raccoons and snakes close to town.

No. If the animal is still under the house, closing the opening can shut it in. A trapped animal may tear a new exit through the skirting, or it may die there and cause a bad odor. Let us confirm the crawl space is empty, and then we close it.
Yes, with the right timing. In the warm months, female bats raise pups too young to fly, and closing the attic during that time would trap them. Once the young are airborne, we put one-way exits at the gable vents and seal the roof.
In Valley it is usually an armadillo. They root for grubs at night, leave shallow pits in the yard and sometimes burrow under piers or a slab. Your free inspection confirms which animal it is, and then we trap it humanely.
